Inland Real Estate Brokerage honors top 2009 sales associates
Oak Brook, Ill. – Inland Real Estate Brokerage, Inc. today announced its top performers of 2009 at the annual “Sales Associate of the Year” awards ceremony. Sales associates from the firm’s four offices in Illinois and Indiana competed for the honors of “Sales Associate of the Year 2009” and “Listing Agent of the Year 2009”.
Paul Montes, senior commercial broker at the Oak Brook office, was honored with the top award, “Sales Associate of the Year.” Upon acceptance of the award, Montes, who joined Inland in 2006 after 15 years in real estate development, analysis and private business, shared the award with Eric Spiess, commercial associate. Montes and Spiess teamed together on most transactions.
Montes completed more transactions in 2009 than in 2008, including the recent completion of three leases in Michael Center, totaling 5,000-square-feet, which brought the vacant center to 100 percent occupancy. Michael Center is a newly built neighborhood retail center located at 249 South River Road in Des Plaines, Ill.
“Throughout 2009 we worked on a steady stream of mid-sized and smaller transactions,” Montes said. “This type of deal, whether it’s a sale or lease, continues to gain momentum, especially as confidence is re-entering the marketplace. Small and mid-sized transactions are easier to finance and many times are for entrepreneurs, who have seen opportunities in this market.”
“Listing Agent of the Year” went to Keith Warpinski, commercial broker, at the Yorkville office. Warpinski has worked with Inland for less than one year and listed over $40 million of land, retail and industrial properties.
“These awards recognize hard work, dedication, creativity and results,” said Jonathan Stein, president. “Paul and Keith worked tirelessly to navigate the difficult commercial real estate and financial markets on behalf of their clients, and both achieved significant accomplishments during a challenging year.”
Both Montes and Warpinski are members of Illinois Association of Realtors (IAR) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
